The problems of developing countries are increasing significantly due to debt. By trapping countries in a web of debt, not only is control being seized over their economies, but administrative affairs are also being controlled. Debt has become a serious issue. Almost all countries take loans, but problems arise primarily for weaker countries. Developed countries are economically stable, so debt does not become a problem for them. For poor and developing countries, debt creates economic and other issues.
\nAccording to reports from the World Bank, IMF, and other financial institutions, developing countries are crushed under the burden of debt. To run their economies, complete development projects, and control fiscal deficits, developing countries are forced to rely continuously on external borrowing. Economies that run on debt always remain plagued by problems.
\nWhen a country takes a loan, it must also accept the conditions set by the lender. Debtor countries weaken their sovereignty by accepting conditions such as increasing taxes, rising inflation, and cuts in funds. Often, conditions are accepted that would be unimaginable under normal circumstances. Political interference also increases, which harms the debtor country. Lenders install favorable rulers in power and then enforce policies of their own choice. In loan-receiving countries, issues like corruption and the violation of merit emerge.
\nSome countries are strong in terms of industry, while others are rich in minerals. Industries and minerals make a country economically strong. Oil is found in Gulf countries, which is why their economies are robust. Germany, Japan, and many other countries enjoy industrial prosperity. In several countries, problems persist due to political instability, even though they possess minerals and other valuable resources. Wars also deliver severe economic shocks. There are many other types of problems that cause countries to fall into economic weakness. Due to these various issues, these countries need loans. Lenders take advantage of their vulnerabilities and provide loans at high interest rates.
\nDebtor countries often take new loans to pay installments of previous ones. The cycle of debt upon debt continues, and the country is never able to improve its economic situation. Debt has become a major threat to economic stability and national sovereignty. Countries that take loans often fail to complete their development projects. Shortages of funds are met by cutting allocations for health, education, and other basic needs. This creates even more problems.
\nIf a loan is taken and spent with better planning, the country can progress. Otherwise, the loan-receiving country will remain perpetually in debt and continue to face economic weakness.

Investment is affected due to debt, even though investment is essential for the stability of any economy. By taking loans, countries further weaken their economies, which affects public life.
\nEconomically weak countries will find it difficult to achieve stability until they get rid of debt. Better policies can help countries escape from debt. Exports should be increased and imports reduced. Local industries must be promoted. By providing subsidies and other facilities to existing factories, the economy can be strengthened. Mobile phones, vehicles, electronics, and other goods should be manufactured locally. Machinery should also be produced within the country, and the quality of products must be improved. If high-quality products are made, they can fetch better prices in the global market.
\nThe tax system should be improved and the tax net expanded. The tax system should be shifted to digital platforms, with special attention to transparency. Direct tax collection from the rich should be ensured. A subsidy system should be in place for weaker sections of society. Foreign investment should be encouraged. Local investors should also be provided with facilities so that investment can bring prosperity to the country.
\nCountries with high levels of corruption cannot become economically strong. The elimination of corruption is essential; otherwise, no country can progress. Countries with excellent agricultural land can stabilize their economies by focusing on the agriculture sector. Mineral resources should also be utilized. Many countries possess valuable mineral deposits but suffer economic hardship because they fail to exploit them. There are many ways through which any country can strengthen its economy and escape the debt trap.
\nThe debt crisis is becoming increasingly severe. The COVID-19 pandemic has also caused tremendous damage to the global economic system. Many countries became economically weaker because of the pandemic. The debt crisis is hindering the progress of many countries.
\nEconomically weak countries can become self-reliant by uniting. Using loan money on better projects can yield benefits. For example, the education budget should be increased. Greater spending on education can bring an economic revolution in the future. Investment should be made in other good projects as well, which will surely be beneficial.
\nIt must be said that immediate relief from debt is not possible, but this crisis can be controlled gradually. Debt is not the problem of one country but of countless countries. Countries that do not work for improvement will continue to face dire situations. Confronting a crisis like debt is not easy, but it is not impossible.
