\nStewart Pakistan, in collaboration with Alight Pakistan, has formally launched the first cohort of Tech Her Forward, an initiative aimed at equipping young women from underserved communities with modern digital and IT skills and enabling them to play an active role in Pakistan\u2019s emerging digital economy. The inauguration ceremony was held at the Zaha Hadid Skills Center in Silicon Village, Pakistan\u2019s largest technology park located at Capital Smart City, Islamabad.
\nThe event marked an important step toward the program\u2019s implementation. Senior leadership from Stewart Pakistan and Alight Pakistan, development partners, and distinguished guests attended the ceremony. Participants reaffirmed their commitment to empowering young women by providing access to modern technology and equal opportunities, enabling them to become economically independent.
\nHer Excellency Ms. Natalie A. Baker, Charg\u00e9 d\u2019Affaires ad interim at the U.S. Embassy in Pakistan, attended as Chief Guest and described the initiative as forward-looking and impactful. She said:
\n\u201cInitiatives like Tech Her Forward are essential to ensure that young women gain the skills and opportunities required to fully participate in the digital economy. Empowering women through education and technology is the foundation of sustainable and inclusive development for all Pakistanis. As a global leader in artificial intelligence and the digital economy, the United States and U.S. businesses strongly support such programs.\u201d
\nThe first cohort consists of 25 to 30 young women from underserved communities. The program includes training, mentorship, and practical industry exposure, aimed at enhancing professional skills, promoting financial independence, and reducing the gender digital gap in Pakistan.
\nSpeaking at the occasion, Chairman HRL Group, Mr. Zahid Rafiq, highlighted the broader vision behind the initiative, stating:
