Pakistan\u2019s ambassador also conveys demarche to Afghan foreign ministry in Kabul

\nPakistan\u2019s Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed that a strong demarche was issued to the Afghan Taliban regime following the recent terrorist attack in Karachi. Spokesperson Tahir Andrabi stated that the Afghan charg\u00e9 d\u2019affaires was summoned to the Ministry last night, where Pakistan conveyed its concerns directly.
\nA similar demarche was also delivered by Pakistan\u2019s Ambassador to Kabul, Ubaid-ur-Rehman Nizamani, to the Afghan Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Andrabi explained that these steps were taken in light of evidence showing Afghan nationals, including one apprehended alive, were involved in the attack.
\nHe stressed that this proves once again that Afghan soil and Afghan nationals continue to be used to orchestrate terrorist attacks inside Pakistan. Meanwhile, Information Minister Attaullah Tarar said that security forces killed 29 militants in an intelligence-based operation (IBO) followed by caliberated strikes targeting terrorist hideouts along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border.
\nIn a post on X, Tarar said that the strikes were carried out in the aftermath of recent multiple terrorist incidents inside Pakistan against the innocent people of Khyber Pakthunkhwa, Balochistan and Pakistan Rangers (Sindh) Camp in Karachi. He said that security forces conducted a well-planned intelligence-led ground operation in Bajaur district on June 28, targeting militants linked to Indian proxy Jamaat ul Ahrar and Fitna al-Khawarij.
\nDuring the operation, high-value militant commander Khan Farosh alias Zabal along with three other militants belonging to Jamaat ul Ahrar were killed, while several others sustained injuries. Taliban view: Pakistani strikes in three eastern provinces of Afghanistan killed 36 civilians and wounded 163, the Taliban government\u2019s deputy spokesman said on Monday.
