Preparations for the observance of Kashmir Exploitation Day on August 5, 2026 gathered pace on Thursday as a high level meeting, chaired by Secretary of the Ministry of Kashmir Affairs, Gilgit-Baltistan and SAFRON Kamran Rehman Khan, reviewed the overall plan and finalised arrangements for nationwide events to mark the occasion.
\nThe meeting was attended by focal persons from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Islamabad Police, Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication, Capital Development Authority (CDA), Ministry of Federal Education, National Heritage and Culture Division, Cantonment Boards, and the district administrations of Islamabad and Rawalpindi, along with representatives of other ministries and government institutions.<\/p>\n
Participants were informed that a series of events, including special solidarity walks, would be organised in the federal capital as well as across all four provinces, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan to express solidarity with the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) against India\u2019s actions of August 5, 2019.
\nThe meeting stressed that India\u2019s decision to revoke the special constitutional status of IIOJK on August 5, 2019, violated the Charter of the United Nations, relevant UN Security Council resolutions, international law, and, in particular, the Fourth Geneva Convention.
\nSpeaking on the occasion, Secretary Kamran Rehman Khan said the entire Pakistani nation would send a clear message to the people of Kashmir that Pakistan would continue to stand firmly beside them in their just struggle for the right to self-determination and maintain its political, diplomatic, and moral support against atrocities committed by Indian forces.
\nHe said Kashmir Exploitation Day served as a solemn reminder that India had pursued a policy of unilateral actions, coercion, and human rights violations while disregarding the principles of peace, justice, and regional stability.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
