\nThe Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government on Friday reviewed plans to digitise the affairs of the Environment Protection Agency (EPA), with a focus on shifting regulatory services, including no-objection certificates (NOCs) and environmental approvals, to an online platform.
\nAn important meeting on the digitisation of the Environment Protection Agency\u2019s affairs was held at the office of the secretary forests under the chairmanship of Adviser to the Chief Minister on Forests, Environment, Wildlife and Climate Change Pir Musawar Khan, a handout said.
\nThe meeting was attended by Secretary Forests Junaid Khan, Director General Environment Protection Agency and other relevant officials, while Managing Director of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Technology Board Dr Akif participated via video link.
\nParticipants discussed proposals to transfer various services of the Environment Protection Agency to a digital platform, including the online processing of no-objection certificates (NOCs), environmental approvals and other regulatory matters.
\nSpeaking on the occasion, Mr Khan said the provincial government, under the leadership of the chief minister, was implementing reforms to promote transparency, curb corruption and improve public service delivery.
\nHe said the digitisation of the Environment Protection Agency would not only streamline official procedures but also make it easier for citizens and businesses to access the agency\u2019s services.
\nThe adviser directed the relevant authorities to make effective use of modern technology to further improve the agency\u2019s performance and ensure transparent, efficient and timely service delivery.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
