\nSecretary Sports and Youth Affairs Sindh Munawar Ali Mahesar has reaffirmed the provincial government\u2019s commitment to extending every possible support for the promotion of Sepaktakraw, saying the sport is gaining rapid popularity across the province.
\nHe expressed these views during a visit to a Sepaktakraw training camp in Hyderabad, organized by the Sindh Sepaktakraw Association to promote the game and enhance the skills of young athletes.
\nThe training camp is being conducted under the supervision of District Sports Officer (DSO) Hyderabad Maryam Kerrio with the objective of providing modern training to talented players and creating better opportunities for them at the national and international levels.
\nSecretary General of the Pakistan Sepaktakraw Federation Noushad Ahmed Khan, Secretary Sindh Olympic Association Ahmed Ali Rajput, Chairman of the Sindh Sepaktakraw Association Dr Arif Hafeez, President Shabbir Ahmed, Senior Vice President Deen Muhammad Kerrio and other officials were also present on the occasion.
\nAddressing the participants, Munawar Ali Mahesar said such training programmes not only promoted sports among the youth but also encouraged healthy activities. He appreciated DSO Hyderabad Maryam Kerrio for organising the training camp and assured full support for the promotion of Sepaktakraw.
\nSpeaking on the occasion, Noushad Ahmed Khan, Dr Arif Hafeez and Shabbir Ahmed said Sepaktakraw was rapidly gaining popularity across Pakistan. They said the Sindh Sepaktakraw Association, in collaboration with the Government of Sindh, would continue its efforts for the development of the sport, training of players and identification of new talent.
\nThey also thanked Secretary Sports Sindh Munawar Ali Mahesar for his continued support.
\nSenior Vice President of the Sindh Sepaktakraw Association Deen Muhammad Kerrio thanked the secretary for visiting the training camp.
