He emphasized that timely assistance and guidance to commuters must be ensured under all circumstances. IG Sultan Ahmed Chaudhry further stressed the need to strengthen the enforcement of traffic laws through effective strategies, professional excellence, and the efficient use of modern technology to enhance safety and operational efficiency on the national highway network.<br \/>\nDuring the meeting, the Inspector General also instructed officers to further intensify road safety awareness campaigns and ensure regular inspection of the fitness and tyres of Public Service Vehicles (PSVs). He directed that all long-route passenger buses must strictly comply with the requirement of having two drivers on board to prevent road crashes caused by driver fatigue and drowsiness.<br \/>\nReaffirming the NHMP\u2019s commitment, Inspector General Sultan Ahmed Chaudhry stated that safeguarding the lives and property of road users, providing a safe travelling environment, and delivering quality public service remain the foremost priorities of the National Highways &#038; Motorway Police.
