Chehlum procession
\nKOHAT: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Information and Public Relations Shafi Jan inspected the route of the main Chehlum procession of Imam Hussain (RA) on Tuesday to review security and administrative preparations ahead of the religious observance. Officials from the district administration, police, Rescue 1122 and other departments briefed the minister on security arrangements, traffic management, sanitation measures, emergency medical services and logistical preparations along the procession route. The minister directed the relevant authorities to ensure maximum facilitation for mourners and instructed all departments to maintain close coordination to preserve law and order throughout the event. He said the provincial government had taken all necessary measures to ensure the peaceful, secure and well-organised observance of the Chehlum, adding that the district administration, police, Rescue 1122 and other relevant agencies remained on high alert and were fully prepared to respond to any emergency. Shafi Jan said the safety of mourners remained the government\u2019s top priority and urged all institutions to perform their duties professionally while strengthening inter-agency coordination.
