\nPresident Junaid Altaf urges World to implement UN Resolutions on Kashmir
\n PESHAWAR
\nSarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry reaffirmed its support to Kashmiri sisters and brothers till the realization of their inalienable right to self-determination and called for resolution of the core issue of Kashmir as per relevant UN resolutions. The SCCI President Junaid Altaf, Senior Vice President Muhammad Nadeem and Vice President Sabir Ahmad Bangash and the entire executive committee of the chamber on Tuesday, in a joint message on \u2018Youm-e-Istehsal\u2019 being observed today (August 5), shedding light on the continuous human rights violations and exploitation faced by the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
\n\u201cThe brave Kashmiri people have endured this brutality with incredible dignity. Today is a day for all Pakistanis, and all peace-loving people of the world, to salute the unwavering resilience and spirit of sacrifice of the Kashmiri people.\u201d
\nSenior office bearers praised the Kashmiri people\u2019s resilience and called on the global community for meaningful action.
\nThey have also underscored that India\u2019s unlawful actions since 5 August 2019 are aimed at turning the Kashmiris into a disempowered community in their own land.
\nPresident Junaid Altaf emphasized that the atrocities in Kashmir are a blatant violation of human rights and urged the global community to address the grave injustices.
\n\u201cIt is our responsibility to stand with the people of Kashmir who have been deprived of their basic rights and freedoms.
\nThe continued silence of the world on this issue is unacceptable,\u201d he stated.
\nSCCI leadership stressed the urgent need for improving the human rights situation in IIOJK and releasing the incarcerated Kashmiri political prisoners.
\nCalling Youm-e-Istehsal a sobering reminder of India\u2019s rejection of peace and stability and its investment in brutality and unilateralism, President Junaid Altaf said that the continued denial of the basic human rights, dignity and identity of Kashmiris living under India\u2019s illegal and unconscionable occupation was a recipe for regional instability.
\nThe SCCI chief said that the efforts to silence the genuine leadership of the Kashmiri people were part of the wider hegemonic and extremist agenda that informs India\u2019s illegal occupation of Kashmir.
\nSCCI leadership said the day underscores the need for a settlement of the Jammu and Kashmir dispute, per the relevant UN Security Council resolutions and the wishes of the Kashmiri people, for a lasting peace in South Asia amid the resounding success of the \u2018Operation Bunyan-ul-Marsoos\u2019 which is a matter of great pride for the people of Pakistan.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
