Pakistan High Commission in Singapore organized a \u2018Mango Festival\u2019 showcasing Pakistan\u2019s world-renowned mangoes, in a series of events commemorating the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and Singapore.
\nZhulkarnain Abdul Rahim, Singapore\u2019s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, was the guest of honour at the event. The event brought together government officials, business community, diplomats, media representatives, and Pakistani-Singaporean community to celebrate Pakistan\u2019s rich agricultural heritage, a press release on Saturday said.
\nThe festival featured a curated menu using Pakistan\u2019s premium mango varieties, including the renowned Chaunsa and Sensation, offering guests the opportunity to experience the exceptional taste, aroma, and quality of Pakistani mangoes.
\nAddressing the gathering, High Commissioner of Pakistan to Singapore Rabia Shafiq said they
\norganized such events to familiarize Singaporeans to Pakistan\u2019s diversity and hospitality and deepen connections between people, particularly as we celebrate 60th years of Pakistan-Singapore ties.
\nShe further emphasized that the festival aimed to promote a harmonious blend of Pakistan\u2019s culture, commerce, and cuisine.
\nA short video, Salam Pakistan, was screened, showcasing Pakistan\u2019s breathtaking landscapes, tourist attractions, and rich cultural heritage.
\n\u201cThe festival served as an effective platform to promote Pakistan\u2019s agricultural exports, showcase the country\u2019s premium mangoes to the Singaporean market, and highlight the potential for expanding bilateral trade.
