\nCabinet members and parliamentarians have welcomed the Makkah Mutual Defence Agreement signed among Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and T\u00fcrkiye, describing it as a historic milestone for regional peace, security and stability.
\nFederal Minister for Planning Ahsan Iqbal congratulated the Pakistani nation on the agreement, saying it would help guarantee peace in the region. He stressed that cooperation among countries was essential for promoting regional peace and security.
\nInformation Minister said the entire country was celebrating the agreement, describing it as a historic step towards peace, security and stability. He said Pakistan, T\u00fcrkiye and Saudi Arabia would move forward under a joint defence framework, adding that Pakistan also has the distinction of being a protector of the Holy Mosques.
\nEnergy Minister Owais Leghari described the agreement as welcome, saying it was in the interests of all three countries and would help protect their peoples. He said an attack on one country would be considered an attack on all three.
\nMinister of State for IT Shaza Fatima Khawaja said the historic agreement had opened new avenues for peace and thanked the political and military leadership for their efforts in making it possible. She said the agreement had enhanced Pakistan\u2019s prestige internationally.
\nDr Tariq Fazal Chaudhary said the pact had laid the foundation for lasting peace in the region and would further strengthen relations among the three countries. He described it as a historic moment for the Muslim Ummah and a reflection of the leadership\u2019s vision.
\nFederal Minister Amir Muqam said the agreement was in the interest of the Muslim Ummah and credited Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir for their efforts.
\nPetroleum Minister Ali Pervaiz Malik said Pakistan\u2019s nuclear capability was developed during Nawaz Sharif\u2019s leadership, while Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir had further strengthened the country\u2019s defence. He termed the trilateral agreement an important step towards Muslim unity.
\nFederal Minister Talal Chaudhry described the pact as an important step towards peace, security and stability, saying it had given new hope to the Muslim Ummah and further enhanced Pakistan\u2019s importance in the world.
\nInterior Affairs Adviser Rana Sanaullah said the signing of the historic agreement on the sacred soil of Makkah was an honour for Pakistan. He said the pact among the brotherly Islamic countries would open new avenues for peace and serve as a foundation for greater unity in the Muslim world. He also appreciated the efforts of the prime minister and the field marshal in making the agreement possible.

\nParliamentarian Wajiha Qamar said the agreement was a source of pride for the entire Muslim Ummah. She said the three countries had demonstrated that strong leadership could bring nations closer together. Under the agreement, she said, an attack on one member would be considered an attack on all three countries.
\nMinority parliamentarian Khel Das Kohistani said a new chapter of history had been written on the sacred soil of Makkah. He congratulated the prime minister and field marshal, saying Pakistan\u2019s minority community appreciated their leadership and efforts.
\nDaniyal Chaudhary described the agreement as a major milestone for Pakistan, saying the efforts of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir had enhanced the country\u2019s honour and prestige.
\nHe said the agreement would contribute to peace and stability in the region.
\nMinister of State Romina Khursheed Alam congratulated the peoples and political and military leaderships of Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and T\u00fcrkiye, saying Pakistan\u2019s political and military leadership had consistently enhanced the country\u2019s standing.
