\nAnwar is \u201cundergoing examinations \u200band procedures set by a team of medical experts\u201d, Press Secretary Tunku \u200bNashrul Abaidah said in a statement, \u200bwithout providing further details.

\nHe \u200bwas hospitalised in 2018 for shoulder and back pain. Last November, he \u200bcanceled a trip to Pahang \u200bstate due to back pain.
\nIn January, he was issued a clean bill of health \u200bafter undergoing a \u200broutine medical examination, according to a hospital statement.
\nMeanwhile, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif wished his Malaysian counterpart a \u201cswift and smooth recovery\u201d during his medical procedures, saying the people of Pakistan were praying for his \u201ccontinued good health and well-being\u201d.
