\nThe United States Educational Foundation in Pakistan (USEFP) and the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan signed a five-year agreement to expand and support USEFP-administered educational exchange programs between the two countries, including the prestigious Fulbright scholarship. This agreement reaffirms the shared commitment of the governments of the United States and Pakistan to advance mutual economic prosperity, security, and scientific and technological development through higher education opportunities.
\nThe agreement was signed by USEFP Executive Director Dr. Peter Moran and HEC Executive Director Professor Dr. Zia Ul Haq at USEFP headquarters in Islamabad. The programs supported through this agreement reflect both governments\u2019 investment in empowering future leaders, scholars, and professionals who will contribute to Pakistan\u2019s progress while strengthening U.S.-Pakistan ties. Through this partnership, Pakistani students and scholars gain access to the renowned American education system while improving capacity across Pakistan\u2019s higher education sector. Americans coming to Pakistan collaborate on innovative research, business, and public health ventures that benefit U.S. Universities, businesses, and the wider public.
