ISLAMABAD: President of Russia Vladimir Putin has extended warm felicitations to President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on the occasion of Pakistan\u2019s Independence Day. In his messages to the president and the prime minister, President Putin conveyed his sincere congratulations to the leadership and people of Pakistan on their national day, the foreign office spokesperson said in a statement on Friday.
\nThe Russian president noted that Russia-Pakistan relations were developing successfully, with Moscow and Islamabad maintaining productive cooperation in the political, trade, economic and humanitarian spheres, as well as on important regional and global issues.
