{"id":564552,"date":"2026-08-30T10:18:43","date_gmt":"2026-08-30T05:18:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/leadpakistan.com.pk\/news\/?p=564552"},"modified":"2026-08-30T10:18:43","modified_gmt":"2026-08-30T05:18:43","slug":"pak-korea-join-forces-to-boost-technical-textile-rd-capacity","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/leadpakistan.com.pk\/news\/pak-korea-join-forces-to-boost-technical-textile-rd-capacity\/","title":{"rendered":"Pak- Korea join forces to boost technical textile R&#038;D capacity"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>FAISALABAD<br \/>\nProf Dr Rashid Masood, Rector National Textile University (NTU) Faisalabad has said that KOICA-funded program will train NTU scholars in advanced textile technologies as Pakistan-Korea Technical Textile Center nears completion.<br \/>\nIn a statement here Friday, he said that ten doctoral scholars from Pakistan\u2019s National Textile University (NTU) Faisalabad are currently undergoing intensive training in the Republic of Korea under a landmark capacity-building program aimed at strengthening Pakistan\u2019s technical textiles sector.<br \/>\nHe said that the two-week training, running from August 17 to 30, 2026, is being conducted under the KOICA Official Development Assistance (ODA) project titled \u201cStrengthening of PAK-KOREA Technical Textile Center,\u201d with technical support from the Korea Institute of Industrial Technology (KITECH).<br \/>\nThe program represents a significant step forward in Pakistan-Korea cooperation, preparing NTU\u2019s next generation of researchers to contribute to cutting-edge R&#038;D activities at the upcoming PAK-KOREA Technical Textile Center, scheduled for completion in 2027, he added.<br \/>\nHands-on Training at World-Class at facilities, he said that since commencing the program with an orientation on August 18, the Pakistani scholars have been engaged in a comprehensive blend of theoretical instruction and practical training utilizing KITECH\u2019s state-of-the-art research and pilot-production facilities.<br \/>\nHe said that the training curriculum encompasses major nonwoven manufacturing processes, equipping participants with hands-on experience in nonwoven filter performance testing and chemical analysis of textile materials.
