According to the Private Commission\u2019s spokesperson, interested investors can now submit their EOIs by 4:00 p.m. (PKT) on September 21, 2026. The commission said the extension was aimed at facilitating local and international investors and ensuring wider participation in the privatisation process. Under the government\u2019s privatisation programme, private sector participation is being sought through the acquisition of 51 to 100 per cent share capital, along with management control, in three power distribution companies: Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (FESCO), Gujranwala Electric Power Company (GEPCO) and IESCO. The PC said the additional time would enable prospective investors to complete their due diligence and submit their EOIs, helping ensure a more competitive and transparent process.
