\ninDrive, a global mobility and urban services platform, has revealed that almost half of all inDrive.Courier orders in Pakistan are meals or groceries, underscoring the service\u2019s growing role in meeting everyday delivery needs.
\nThe finding is based on an internal analysis of inDrive.Courier orders placed across Pakistan between January and June 2026, as part of a wider study covering eight countries. Food & Drink accounted for 41.9% of all classified orders, roughly equal to the combined share of Clothing & Shoes (24%), Medicine & Pharmacy (9%) and Documents & Papers (8.5%), which together made up 41.5%.
\nPakistan also recorded the highest share of Electronics orders among the markets studied, at 8.4%.
\n\u201cIt\u2019s no surprise to see food and drink account for such a large share of Courier orders in Pakistan,\u201d said Awais Saeed, Country Head, inDrive Pakistan.
\n\u201cThe fact that people use inDrive for a range of courier deliveries shows the level of trust they place in the app. That\u2019s something we take seriously, and it shapes how we build every feature and service on the platform.\u201d
\nWithin Food & Drink orders, the data reflects strong demand for familiar Pakistani staples. Biryani, roti and naan feature repeatedly in the orders analysed, alongside milk as a standalone staple. Cake accounted for 3.1% of Food & Drink orders, a smaller proportion than recorded in markets such as Kazakhstan and South Africa, with orders skewing toward ready national dishes rather than desserts.
\nThe findings also point to the role of inDrive.Courier in supporting small businesses. Alongside individuals ordering lunch, groceries or other food items for themselves, home kitchens, caf\u00e9s and local restaurants used courier services to deliver orders to their customers.
\nAcross these deliveries, inDrive.Courier provides safety and visibility features that give users greater control over the delivery process.
\nCouriers complete identity verification during registration by submitting an ID and\/or driver\u2019s licence along with a photo of themselves. Users can also review a courier\u2019s rating, completed trips and profile information before choosing who will handle their delivery.
\nDuring delivery, senders can track the courier\u2019s journey live and share the tracking link with the recipient. They can also opt for OTP-based proof of delivery, with the courier required to enter the recipient\u2019s unique OTP before completing the order.
\nThe growing use of inDrive.Courier reflects inDrive\u2019s broader evolution from a ride-hailing platform into a Super App.
