\nThe Businessmen Forum has suffered a major setback ahead of the elections, as Peshawar Business Alliance has secured one of its most important wickets.
\nHaji Naseer, a key Executive Member of the Sarhad Chamber of Commerce & Industry, has announced his joining of the Peshawar Business Alliance along with his colleagues.
\n\u201cGive the business community of Peshawar your support for the future \u2014 vote for the Peshawar Business Alliance.\u201d Leaders of the Peshawar Business Alliance made this appeal while addressing the meeting.
\nAn important meeting of the Peshawar Business Alliance was held at the office of Syed Zahir Ali Shah, which was attended by candidates contesting the Sarhad Chamber elections. The candidates were finalized during the meeting.
\nAddressing the gathering, Shah Rukh Khan, Muhammad Akram, Ghulam Hussain, Irfan, and other candidates said that they were proud of their leadership, including Haji Ghulam Ali, Syed Zahir Ali Shah, Sharafat Ali Mubarak, and Malik Mehr Ullah, who have always remained at the forefront of efforts for the development and progress of Peshawar and for resolving the problems faced by the business community.
\nThey said that the business community should not, merely because of personal relationships or familiarity, donate its precious vote and once again put the traders of Peshawar through further difficulties and hardships.
\nThey questioned what peace, dignity, and business development those who have remained in control of the Sarhad Chamber for so long could possibly deliver to the city\u2019s business community. They said that those controlling the Chamber want to keep it under their influence, while the Peshawar Business Alliance is determined to free the Chamber from the so-called control group.
\nThey expressed confidence that the business community of Peshawar and the members of the Sarhad Chamber would stand with them in this struggle\u2014not only to free the Chamber from an imposed group, but also to genuinely transfer authority to the elected President and members.
\nThey said that Shariah itself taught us 1,400 years ago that repeatedly testing those who have already been tested is foolishness. Therefore, voters should use their vote on merit, for the independence of the Chamber, to remove the imposed group, and to help resolve the difficulties faced by the business community.
\nThey said that leadership should be entrusted to people who genuinely know how to serve with respect, who consider the happiness and progress of their community as their own happiness and progress. They claimed that the candidates of the Peshawar Business Alliance had been brought forward because they met these standards.
\nThey thanked their leadership for not imposing a single candidate of their own choice and for not making unemployed or irrelevant individuals candidates. They said these are people who will work day and night exclusively for the interests of Peshawar\u2019s traders.
\nThey asked the business community: \u201cFor years, you have been giving those people a chance. What have they actually done for you? This time, give the Peshawar Business Alliance an opportunity and see what true service means, what real work means, what development means, and what practical struggle to resolve problems really means.\u201d
\nThey said that those who have repeatedly won on the votes of Peshawar\u2019s business community and used the power of those votes primarily to advance their personal interests have done little in terms of practical measures.
