\nPakistan State Oil (PSO), Pakistan\u2019s national energy company, hosted the PSO Excellence Awards 2026 in Karachi, bringing together dealer partners from across the country to recognise outstanding retail performance and to reaffirm a shared national responsibility: keeping fuel flowing to every corner of Pakistan, in all conditions, without interruption.
\nThe ceremony was attended by PSO\u2019s Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Jawwad Ahmed Cheema, Chief Commercial Officer, Mr. Amir Zaib Khan, senior management, dealer partners and employees.
\nSpeaking at the event, Mr. Jawwad Ahmed Cheema, CEO \u2013 PSO, said, \u201cPSO is not simply the largest fuel retailer in this country.
\nWe are the national oil company, and that carries an obligation we do not take lightly. When supply is tight, when demand surges, when a route is difficult or a region is remote, the country looks to PSO.
\nOur commitment is simple and absolute: fuelling Pakistan, every day, no exceptions. That commitment is not delivered from a head office. It is delivered at the forecourt, by our dealers, one customer at a time. Our dealers are the cornerstone of Pakistan\u2019s energy security.\u201d
\nHe said PSO\u2019s dealer network was the \u201ccornerstone of Pakistan\u2019s energy security,\u201d emphasising that the company\u2019s national responsibility was delivered at more than 3,600+ forecourts across the country.
\nHe said PSO was focused on raising retail standards through better customer service, operational excellence, safety, technology and modernised retail sites. \u201cGood enough is not good enough. The bar we are setting is the best in the market, and then better than that,\u201d he said.
\nTop-performing dealers were honoured for commercial achievements, operational and HSE standards, customer service and adoption of best practices. Members of PSO\u2019s commercial team were also recognised for their contribution to strengthening the dealer network.
\nPSO is undertaking a multi-year retail transformation programme covering network expansion, site modernisation, automation, digitalisation, loyalty initiatives and enhanced non-fuel retail offerings.
