Acting on the directions of Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry on Thursday visited the Islamabad Model Jail to review final construction work and operational arrangements, as the long-delayed project moves closer to completion.
\nDuring the visit, Talal Chaudhry inspected ongoing finishing work and reviewed preparations being made before the facility becomes operational. Officials briefed him on the progress of the project and the remaining tasks required for its completion.
\nSpeaking on the occasion, Talal Chaudhry said the completion of the Islamabad Model Jail marks a significant step for a project that had remained pending for many years.
\nHe noted that bringing the project close to completion reflects the government\u2019s efforts to address long-standing infrastructure challenges in the federal capital.
\nThe minister said that, on the instructions of Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, authorities are ensuring that all construction and operational work meets the required standards.
\nHe emphasized that quality control remains a key priority throughout the final phase of the project.
\nTalal Chaudhry also reviewed arrangements related to security, administration, and inmate facilities.
\nHe directed the relevant departments to complete the remaining work within the given timeframe and ensure that all systems are fully functional before the facility opens.
\nAccording to officials, the Islamabad Model Jail is being equipped with facilities designed to meet current correctional and administrative requirements.
