{"id":565817,"date":"2026-09-07T01:12:57","date_gmt":"2026-09-06T20:12:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/leadpakistan.com.pk\/news\/?p=565817"},"modified":"2026-09-07T01:12:57","modified_gmt":"2026-09-06T20:12:57","slug":"issi-commemorates-defence-day-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/leadpakistan.com.pk\/news\/issi-commemorates-defence-day-2\/","title":{"rendered":"ISSI commemorates Defence day"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> ISLAMABAD<br \/>\nThe Arms Control and Disarmament Centre (ACDC) at the Institute of Strategic Studies Islamabad (ISSI) organized an in-house meeting today to commemorate Pakistan Defence Day.<br \/>\nThe event brought together members of the ISSI to reflect on the historic significance of Defence Day, pay tribute to the shuahada of Pakistan\u2019s armed forces, examine the technological transformation of Pakistan\u2019s national defence architecture, and showcase Pakistan\u2019s achievements in the conventional, nuclear and space domains, said a press release issued on Sunday.<br \/>\nSpeaking on the occasion, Ambassador Moin ul Haque, Director General ISSI, paid rich tributes to the valiant Armed Forces of Pakistan and the martyrs who made ultimate sacrifices to protect the country\u2019s sovereignty and territorial integrity.<br \/>\nHe highlighted that Pakistan\u2019s acquisition of nuclear capabilities restored strategic balance in South Asia, establishing full-spectrum deterrence as the bedrock of national security.<br \/>\nAppreciating the presentations on the evolution of Pakistan\u2019s air capabilities, indigenization, nuclear forces, and space programme Ambassador Haque emphasized that national defence extends beyond geographical borders.<br \/>\nHe stressed that national defence was a multi-dimensional enterprise not only encompassing conventional readiness, technological adaptation in emerging domains, national cohesion, economic strength and strategic clarity but also requiring personal sacrifices, unity, discipline, and hard work across all segments of society \u2013 including researchers, diplomats, doctors, and teachers \u2013 working hand-in-hand with the Armed Forces to strengthen the nation under the enduring motto of Quaid-I-Azam: Unity, Faith, and Discipline.0 <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD The Arms Control and Disarmament Centre (ACDC) at the Institute of Strategic Studies Islamabad (ISSI) organized an in-house meeting today to commemorate Pakistan Defence Day.
