THATTA: The bodies of a husband and wife, both farm labourers, were found in agricultural fields near Jhirk in Thatta district, police and local sources said. According to the sources, the couple had gone to the fields to work on Saturday evening. The body of the woman was found lying in the fields with a noose around her neck, while her husband was found hanging from a nearby tree, also with a noose around his neck. The deceased were identified as 28-year-old Ramesh and his 25-year-old wife, Kishori. Police took the bodies into custody and shifted them to the Rural Health Centre (RHC) Jhirk for medico-legal examination. Police said the circumstances and cause of the deaths had yet to be established.
