Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhry on Monday paid rich tribute to the brave personnel of the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) on the occasion of Air Force Day, acknowledging their courage, determination and professional excellence in defending the country.
\nIn his message, the minister said the day provided an opportunity to pay homage to the brave \u201cShaheens\u201d of the PAF who had written remarkable chapters in the history of national defence through their courage, resolve and professional skills.
\nHe said that during the 1965 war, the PAF\u2019s valiant pilots and personnel had foiled the enemy\u2019s designs and made the nation proud through their outstanding performance.
\n\u201cThe bravery and professional expertise of the PAF Shaheens constitute a glorious chapter in our defence history,\u201d he said.
\nDr. Tariq said the PAF\u2019s outstanding performance during Operation Bunyan-un-Marsoos had once again demonstrated its formidable defence capabilities.
\nHe said the operation had proved that the PAF Shaheens possessed the capability and determination to confront every challenge and effectively defend the country.
\nThe minister said the PAF remained fully prepared and vigilant round the clock to safeguard Pakistan\u2019s airspace.
\nHe paid tribute to the martyrs of the Pakistan Air Force for their supreme sacrifices and lauded the services of its Ghazis.
