The report said 331 complaints were still pending and action was under way at the level of the relevant officers and authorities. The department assured that the pending cases would be addressed on a priority basis. Thirteen complaints were found to be irrelevant, while seven cases were incomplete and dealt with according to the prescribed rules and procedures. Of the total complaints, 1,296 were received in the South Region, 49 in the East Region, 16 in the North Region and nine in the Central Region. The department said the mechanism for registering, monitoring and following up on complaints was being further strengthened to ensure their prompt resolution. Provincial Minister for Public Health Engineering Fazal Shakoor Khan said timely resolution of public complaints was among the government\u2019s priorities and directed officials to take immediate action on pending cases. He directed the concerned officers to resolve all 331 pending complaints at the earliest and provide necessary relief to complainants without unnecessary delay.
