Federal Minister for Climate Change and Environmental Coordination Dr Musadik Malik on Thursday stressed the need to provide greater opportunities to the youth to enable them to play an active and meaningful role in the country\u2019s development.
\nAddressing the Leaders in Islamabad Summit \u2013 Sixth Session, titled from Strategic Relevance to National Advantage,\u201d the minister said Pakistan\u2019s future depended on creating an environment where young people could contribute their ideas, skills and energy to national progress.
\nHe said the country needed to focus on people-centric development and ensure that citizens had access to basic facilities necessary for a dignified life.
\nDr Musadik Malik emphasized that improving the quality of life of the people should remain at the centre of development policies, adding that the provision of basic amenities could bring meaningful and lasting improvements to communities.
\nHe said greater opportunities should be created for the younger generation in education, skills development, employment and other areas so that they could become productive contributors to society.
\nThe minister underlined the importance of making national development more inclusive by ensuring that people, particularly the youth, were given the space and opportunities to participate in the country\u2019s economic and social progress.
