\nA capable, motivated and professional bureaucracy has played an instrumental role in economic growth and overall prosperity in many countries and civil officers in Pakistan should facilitate private sector in promoting business activities.
\nThis was said by Ahmed Hassan Moughal, President, Islamabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry while addressing a delegation of 36 under-training civil officers of 46th Common Training Program (CTP) that visited ICCI led by Ms. Ayesha Zareen, Additional Director, Civil Service Academy, Lahore.
\nThe officers were representing various cadres of civil service including Commerce & Trade, Administration, Foreign Service, Inland Revenue, Pakistan Customs, Police and Pakistan Audit & Accounts.
\nAhmed Hassan Moughal said that civil officers have important role in implementing the economic agenda of the government and their cooperative role with private sector would be helpful in steering the country of current challenges and putting it on the path of sustainable economic growth.
\nHe emphasized that when trainee civil officers would take over their responsibilities in various departments of federal and provincial governments, they should play positive role in making timely decision and resolving key issues of business community to improve ease of doing business in the country.
\nSpeaking at the occasion, Ms. Ayesha Zareen, Additional Director, Civil Service Academy, Lahore said that about 270 civil officers were under training in the 46th Common Training Program (CTP) and the purpose of taking them to various public and private sector organizations was to enable them to get an understanding of the working of such organizations.
\nShe said the aim of the CTP was to transform the college students into civil servants and to enable them to perform their duties professionally.
\nShe thanked ICCI for hosting the under-training officers and hoped that their interaction with business community would be helpful for them in understanding the dynamics of business and economy and how they could facilitate in resolving the issues of business community. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
