Peshawar(PR):The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor, Eng. Iqbal Zafar Jhagra has said, the Pak-Afghan relationships are spread over centuries which are further strengthened by shared values of common linguistic, cultural, civic, religious and geographic values.
\nThis, he has stated, while addressing a ceremony titled, “Da Aman Khayal”, held under the aegis of “Pak-Afghan Journalists Peace Forum” in Peshawar on Tuesday. Rich tributes were paid to renowned pashto artist Khiyal Muhammad.
\nThe ceremony was also attended by Peshawar based Afghan Consul General, Mr. Abdullah Waheed Poyan, artists, poets, scholars and journalists.
\nThe Governor said that the Afghan refugees are our guests and was doing our best to ensure their repatriation with honour and dignity. He said that the role of writers, poets, scholars and journalists in always considered very important to ensuring constructive changes and better developments. He also wished their more useful role towards developing better relationships between both the countries.
