{"id":6120,"date":"2016-11-07T16:08:39","date_gmt":"2016-11-07T06:08:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/leadpakistan.com.pk\/news\/?p=6120"},"modified":"2016-11-07T16:08:39","modified_gmt":"2016-11-07T06:08:39","slug":"fpccis-intervention-saves-ship-breaking-industry-from-closure","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/leadpakistan.com.pk\/news\/fpccis-intervention-saves-ship-breaking-industry-from-closure\/","title":{"rendered":"FPCCI\u2019s intervention saves ship breaking industry from closure"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD, (INP) President Pakistan Businessmen and Intellectuals Forum (PBIF), President AKIA, Senior Vice Chairman of the Businessmen Panel of FPCCI and former provincial minister Mian Zahid Hussain on Saturday lauded President FPCCI Abdul Rauf Alam who saved thousands of jobs by saving ship breaking industry from closure.<br \/>\nGadani ship breaking yard employs around twelve thousand labourers while contributes around five billion rupees in taxes besides providing raw material to the local steel industry, he said.<br \/>\nMian Zahid Hussain said that police mishandled the situation after a ship caught fire in the yard which resulted in loss of precious lives.<br \/>\nOn one hand top government officials claimed to initiate probe while on the other hand police started arresting people illegally.<br \/>\nHe said that police failed to nab the owner of the ship therefore it rounded up the President of Ship breakers association Dewan Rizwan Farooqi.
