He also directed provincial departments to provide timely cooperation to audit teams in performing duties.<br \/>\nPrincipal Secretary to CM Shahab Ali Shah, Director Generals Muhammad Asif Khan, Asmatullah Shah and Muhammad Jan besides other high ranking officers were also present on the occasion.<br \/>\nOn the occasion, KP Chief Minister was briefed by Auditor General regarding objectives, important, procedure and different aspects of performance-audit of government departments and organizations.<br \/>\nHe also informed CM about reforms and reorganization of the audit system and added that office of auditor general was meant to assist and cooperate with government to improve good governance in public departments.<br \/>\nChief Minister agreed with reforms and reiterated government\u2019s commitment to strengthen office of auditor general and said the annual performance-audit is essential to increase performance of the government departments.<br \/>\nMehmood Khan also stressed to improve internal audit system of the departments and organizations and assured full cooperation to office of Auditor General.<br \/>\nHe said provincial government aims to improve the performance of provincial departments and ensure productivity in their working adding that efforts made in this regard would be fully supported.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Performance-audit of departments indispensible to achieve goal of good governance: Mahmood our correspondent PESHAWAR Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Mehmood Khan Saturday assured cooperation to federal audit department and said that annual performance-audit of departments is indispensible to achieve the goal of good governance.
