\nPresident Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) Engineer Daroo Khan Achakzai Thursday felicitated illustrious businessman and politician Mian Kashif Ashfaq on his appointment as chairman of Faisalabad Industrial Estate Development and Management (FIEDMC).
\nIn his message, FPCCI President Daroo Khan said Mian Kashif Ashfaq is an experienced businessman who is already running Pakistan Furniture Council (PFC) as CEO, a non-profit organization established to promote local furniture industry, successfully and he hoped that he (Kashif) would take FIEDMC to new height by facilitating foreign and local investors and business community of Faisalabad.
\nHe said that the appointment of Mian Kashif, in fact, is an appreciation of the meritorious, dedicated and devoted services, which have been rendered by him as businessman and politician.
\nHe demanded the government establish a Cottage Industrial Estate and he said a Trade Information Portal should be launched to get trade related regulatory information on import-export which should connect the Pakistani business community to international markets.
\nHe said that the cottage industry be also housed in Industrial Estates of Punjab especially located in Sundar Industrial Estate Lahore, Gujranwala and Faisalabad in existing infrastructure or by acquiring additional land adjacent to the existing Industrial Estates.
\nDaroo Khan expressed his confidence that under Kashif\u2019s dynamic leadership and able guidance the working and performance of the FIEDMC would be further reactivated to resolve the problem and hardship of the trade and industry and hoped that existing cordial working relations and cooperation developed between FPCCI and the FIEDMC would be further strengthened to the benefits of business community and for the country- during his tenure.He wished his success in his new responsibilities and assured him of complete support and cooperation of FPCCI.Mian Kashif Ashfaq expressed his gratitude over FPCCI felicitation and said he is also equally thankful to Chief Minister Punjab Usman Buzdar for reposing confidence in him by nominating chief FIEDMC Board of Directors and appreciated his vision and administrative capabilities for the systematic and planned industrialisation of Faisalabad.He said he already directed FIEDMC officials to prepare a comprehensive report on the missing facilities so that the issue could be taken up with the Prime Minister Imran Khan on an immediate basis. He said that FIEDMC would take measures to address issues of business community and investors for creating conducive environment for trade and investment in the province.He said that Punjab offered great investment opportunities in various sectors of its economy even there was great potential for agriculture exports and value-addition sector.
