KARACHI(INP): Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Sindh chief Dr. Merajul Huda Siddiqui has announced that the party is going to organize a two day workers convention in Karachi, where the JI Pakistan chief Senator Siraj-ul-Haq will announce the party’s future strategy for Sindh.
\nHe announced this on Monday while addressing a press conference at JI Karachi headquarters Idara Noor-e-Haq. He said that permission for holding the program has already been granted while preparations have also been finalized. Tens of thousands of party workers would be participating in the program.
\nDr. Siddiqui said that the convention is being held at a time when the entire province has been reflecting the saga of mismanagement, inability and corruption of last several ruling regimes. He said that no serious effort have been showed by rulers for a long time. The provincial government has practically denied the local bodies to their due share from resources as well as powers.
\nHe said that a common man is extremely disappointed due to the behavior of provincial government. The asset sheets of rulers have been growing while there is no respite for general masses.
\nPresenting JI as a reformist movement, he urged masses to join the party for a massive struggle to eliminate problems, poverty and make Sindh minus corruption province.
\nTalking about Karachi, he said that a report of the World Bank recently marked Karachi among top 10 cities which are not able to dwell into. He added that when the economic hub of the country was in a miserable situation what one can expect about the rest of the province.
\nCiting another report of a Gallop survey, he said that the province has marched past neighboring Baluchistan when it comes to bad governance.
\nHe was optimistic in regard to the China Pakistan Economic Corridor. He welcomed the recent development as the Gawadar port became operational and added that the project can become a game changer if the nation become united and get rid of corruption and injustice.
\nThe JI Karachi chief Engr. Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman in his address said that it would be the largest ever convention of a party in Karachi and would bring an end to the politics of divide and rule.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
