Islamabad (PR):Prof. Dr. Mukhtar Ahmad Chairman Higher Education Commission (HEC), Islamabad has said that present federal government has enhanced Higher Education budget two times in the current fiscal year. In 2013-14 the annual budget was Rs. 42 billion which increased up to Rs. 98 billion in the current financial year. We are committed to enhance the overall capacity of the Higher Education Institutions by equipping them with financial and human resources. He was addressing as chief guest to the inaugural ceremony of Admin Block and Smart University System here at KMU.
\nVC KMU Prof. Dr. Muhammad Hafizullah, VC Islamia College University Prof. Dr. Habib Ahmad, Director Institute of Management Sciences Prof. Dr. Mohsin Khan, heads of all constituent institutions, faculty and a large number students were also present at the occasion.
\nProf. Dr. Mukhtar Ahmad said it is a matter of proud that Pakistan has a rich population of 200 million people and out of which 65% are youth of below 35 years of age. Our youth had a great potential and they always achieved great successes in various fields. They need proper training to become good human beings as well, he added.
\nHe shared that the present federal government is more committed to pay attention to Higher Education Prime Minister Fee reimbursement and laptop distribution among hundreds of thousands students of various levels is a proof to that fact.
\nHe said though we have meager resources but than our students are doing well and their knowledge, intellectual capacity and hardworking attitude is a symbol of pride for all of us. He said, KMU is progressing in right direction and in the last ten years of short journey it gained and developed much more beyond the expectation and hopefully this journey of success would be keep continued.
\nHe assured the KMU authorities that all their needs and developmental projects would be full filled as per their demands.
