ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan called off his party\u2019s boycott of the Parliament on Tuesday.
\n\u201cWe are going the Parliament tomorrow (Wednesday) with a special objective,\u201d Imran Khan told the media persons at Bani Gala.
\nHe said that his party would submit adjournment and privilege motions in the house against Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif\u2019s lies on the issue of the Panama issue.
\n\u201cWhen a Prime Minister is caught lying before the Parliament over his foreign wealth, he has to be exposed and held accountable,\u201d he said. \u201cWe will now see whether or not Parliament holds Nawaz Sharif accountable for his lies,\u201d he said.
\n\u201cI also ask the PML-N members to take a stand against Nawaz Sharif. This is also a test of opposition members,\u201d he added.
\n\u201cWhat is the use of the Parliament if it doesn\u2019t respond to opposition\u2019s demand of accountability?\u201d he asked.
\n\u201cWe don\u2019t go to the Parliament to thump desks or mark attendance,\u201d Khan said.
\nHe said that lawyers of Prime Minister Sharif told the Supreme Court that the speech made in the Parliament was a political statement.
\nThe PTI chief further said that his party would announce its next line of action if the parliament failed to hold the prime minister accountable.
\nTo a question, Khan denounced the treatment meted out to Foreign Affairs Adviser Sartaj Aziz in India, saying that Nawaz Sharif\u2019s personal relations with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi were hurting Pakistan.
\nHe said that the ruling PML-N wanted to turn Pakistan army into Punjab police.
\n\u201cWe are disappointed by the Supreme Courts\u2019 decision to adjourn the Panama case hearing. We believe that the apex court could have decided the matter with day-to-day hearing,\u201d he said.
\nKhan, however, said that his party would wait for the Supreme Court\u2019s decision despite the fact.
