ISLAMABAD \u00a0(Online):\u00a0Interior Minister Ch Nisar on Tuesday spoke at length on the performance of PPP government and the level of corruption during that period.
\nAddressing a passing out parade ceremony of Rapid Response Force\u2019s 1st batch in Islamabad, the Interior Minister said the PML-N government has improved law and order situation in the country.
\nReferring to Bilawal Bhutto\u2019s recent political campaign against the PML-N on Panama Papers, the minister said, someone has told him that to regain the lost ground, he has to do Imran Khan-style politics.
\nWithout naming Bilawal or Benazir Bhutto, the minister said, he should first go to the court against his mother who has been mentioned in the Panama Papers.
\nPPP\u2019s campaign against corruption is just like, BJP talking about Muslims\u2019 rights, the minister noted.
\nSharing details about the money laundering of Khanani and Kalia International (KKI), Ch Nisar said the company was involved in \u2018massive money laundering\u2019 and some PPP government officials were too hand in gloves with them.
\nIt is pertinent to mention here that one of the KKI\u2019s owners, Altaf Khanani pleaded guilty to money laundering charges before a United States court in November 2016 and his brother Javed Khanani died earlier this month after falling from an under construction building. Javed was also facing charges in fresh hundi\/hawala transaction.
\nAfter Altaf Khanni\u2019s arrest in the US, I secretly ordered an investigation into the matter, he said, adding that after intensive probe we found that the record pertaining to the KKI investigations had been \u2018destroyed to hide facts\u2019.
\nWe will share the findings into this, he said.
\nOn removal of Sindh IG AD Khawaja, the minister said he was an honest person and brought many improvements in the system. The provincial government\u2019s action is disappointing, he added.
\nOn Abbottabad Commission report, Ch Nisar said May 12 raid by the US was the grave violation of our sovereignty and the nation must be made aware of the findings. \u2018I will raise this matter in the Cabinet.\u2019
\nThe government must be given credit to bring the killer of over 250 people, he asserted. The ministry worked tirelessly with Bangkok government to bring the Baldia Factory fire key suspect, he will face the law, the minister asserted.
\nTalking to newsmen he said the operation by the United States forces in Abbottabad was attack on the sovereignty of Pakistan. The interior minister said he will demand the Cabinet to make report of Abbottabad Commission public. He said the final decision about making Abbottabad Commission public is to be taken by the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
\nAnswering a question, he said there was no any pressure on him from any side. Answering another question, He said no one will be allowed to violate traffic rules in Islamabad. The minister said law is equal for all and no one is above the law. \u201cEven the diplomats will have to strictly follow traffic rules in the federal capital\u201d, he stressed.
\nHe said strict action will be taken against those who violate traffic rules. Nisar said law and order has been restored in the country as result of government efforts. He lauded the services of law enforcement agencies in war against terrorism.
\nInterior Minister criticized the decision of Sindh government to send IG Sindh AD Khawaja on forced leave.
\nTalking about Baldia factory inferno, he said people were burnt alive for the sake of money. The hardened murderer has been brought from Thailand.
