Beijing(PR): Chinese President Xi Jinping has expressed grief over the Quetta\u2019s tragic incident, assuring his country\u2019s full support to fight against terrorism, protecting the people\u2019s lives and safety.
\nIn a similar message of condolence to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Chinese Premier Li Keqiang also condemned the incident in strongest term.
\nPresident Xi in his message of condolence to his Pakistani counterpart Mamnoon Hussain, said
\n\u201cI was shocked to learn that the terrorist attack in Quetta of Balochistan Province has caused heavy casualties. The Chinese people share the deep sympathy with the Pakistani people on such sufferings.
\nOn behalf of the Chinese Government and people as well as in my own name, I would like to extend deep condolences to the deceased and sincere sympathy to the injured and bereaved families.\u201d
\nChina is opposed to all forms of terrorism and strongly condemns the terrorist attack. The Chinese side will continue to firmly support Pakistan\u2019s efforts to fight against terrorism, safeguard national stability and protect the people\u2019s lives and safety, President Xi added.
\nPremier Li Keqiang said, he was shocked to learn that the terrorist attack in Quetta of Balochistan Province has caused heavy casualties. The Chinese side strongly condemns this attack. On behalf of the Chinese Government, I would like to extend deep condolences to the deceased and sincere sympathy to the injured and bereaved families.
\nChina is firmly opposed to all forms of terrorism and will as always, support the unremitting efforts of the Pakistani Government and people to safeguard national security and stability and fight against terrorism.
\nEarlier in Beijing, a spokesperson of Chinese Foreign Ministry Hua Chunying also strongly condemned the terrorist attack, stating that the Chinese government and the people are greatly shocked and saddened over the tragic happening.
\nStressing that China opposes terrorism in any form, she said China will continue to support Pakistan’s efforts against terrorism.
\nAt a ceremony held at the Chinese embassy in Islamabad, the Chinese ambassador Sun Weidong said, he was deeply shocked and saddened by the attack.
\nHe expressed strong condemnation, stating their hearts go out to the families of those killed and injured. \u201cWe will always stand behind the Pakistani side in its fight against terrorism and its campaign for stability of the country and security of the people,\u201d he added.
