KOHAT
Following the directives of Chief Minister, Local Government Minister and Secretary, Water and Sanitation Company Kohat (WSSCK) has launched a special cleanliness campaign here on Thursday.
The campaign began from cleansing of Katta Jhang in College Town.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Kohat Hamid Iqbal, WSSCK Chaitman BoDs and acting CEO of the company Muhammad Saad, Head of Sanitation and Administration Tahir Hafif, elders and locals were present during the inauguration ceremony.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Kohat Hamid Iqbal, WSSCK Chairman BoDs and acting CEO of the company Muhammad Saad in their remarks on the occasion stated that this special campaign will be carrying out along with routine cleanliness in various citizen localities to provide clean environment to residents in their respective areas.
Senior officials urged the locals to cooperate with the company and gather waste at specific location and play their role to make this special cleanliness campaign successful.
At the end, Additional Deputy Commissioner Kohat Hamid Iqbal, WSSCK Chairman BoDs and acting CEO of the company Muhammad Saad inspected the cleanliness operation at Katta Jhang and expressed satisfaction over the cleanliness work.
According to the officials, the purpose of this special campaign is to make system of cleanliness more effective, besides to create awareness among locals to keep the environment clean in their respective localities.
