KOHAT: The Water and Sanitation Services Company Kohat (WSSCK) in collaboration with Unicef has launched under the initial phase awareness campaign in public and private schools in its jurisdiction areas to contain further spread of the novel coronavirus pandemic.

In the first week, a team of WSSCK mobilizers completed sessions in 15 schools, which through charts, created awareness among schoolchildren to prevention from Covid-19 and standard operating procedures designed in this regard.

The team properly taught about hands washing and carried out a practical exercise in this regard, meant to keep the children from different diseases, including deadly Covid-19.

Besides creating awareness about Covid-19 SOPs, the WSSCK team also lectured to schoolchildren about cleanliness. Informative pamphlets regarding prevention from coronavirus also distributed among the students on the occasion.

Dustbins also installed in the schools, which were provided by Unicef in order to create habit and exercise among the schoolchildren regarding proper disposal of garbage in this age, so when they will grow up, consider it as national duty.
