The Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam (JUI-F) uniformed volunteers known as Ansarul Islam force will escort Maulana Fazalur Rehman during his appearance in the National Accountability Bureau of Peshawar.
It has been decided in a meeting of Ansarul Islam held at JUI-F provincial secretariat on Friday that as many as 10,000 volunteers will provide security to the Maulana. Detailed discussion was also made to bring more discipline in the force of volunteers and make it more active.
The meeting was presided over by the provincial Salar-i-Aala (Volunteers’ force chief), Shaykh-ul-Hadith Maulana Aziz Ahmad Ashrafi.
“Teams of the volunteers force have also been formed for the protection of central and provincial leadership of JUI-F at various scheduled political gatherings,” the meeting told.
Central Assistant Salaar Naseer Marwat, Provincial Deputy Salaar Muhammad Israr Marwat, and others attended the meeting.
The meeting strongly condemned the NAB’s call-up notice to the JUI-F chief Maulana Fazalur Rehman.
Maulana Ashrafi told the meeting that if the central party decides, the force of 10,000 uniformed volunteers would reach the NAB office for JUI-F chief.
He said that the All Parties Conference remained successful as the arrow of the conference had hit the target rightly which will now decide the fate of the government.
The district leaders of the force have also been directed to be ready for any further instructions from the party leadership to reach the NAB office.
The participants of the meeting offered fateha for the departed souls of the relatives of the districts leaders of Ansarul Islam of Mardan, Nowshera and Peshawar .
It has also been offered dua for the prosperity of Pakistan and security of JUI-F leaderships.
The move came after the NAB summoned Maulana Fazalur Rehman over corruption and accumulation of assets beyond known sources of income. Rehman was directed to appear before the NAB’s Combined Investigation Team (CIT) on October 1, 2020 at the NAB bureau’s office in Peshawar. Ends
