LAHORE: Police claimed on Friday to have arrested 11 gamblers during a crackdown against gambling in the jurisdiction of Shera Kot Police Station. On a tip-off SHO Shera Kot Mian Asim, along with his police team, conducted a raid at a snooker club in Malik Park and apprehended the suspects who were allegedly placing bets on a snooker game. Police also recovered mobile phones and thousands of rupees in cash used for betting from their possession. Six snooker sticks and 18 snooker balls were also seized as evidence. The arrested suspects were identified as Bilal, Saifullah, Yasir, Usama, Asif, Sunny, Imran, Mehboob and others. News Agency
