ISLAMABAD
Islamabad Capital Police apprehended 15 outlaws from different areas of the city during the last 24 hours and recovered liquor, drugs and weapons with ammunition from their possession, a public relations officer said.
He said that, following the special directions of Islamabad Capital City Police Officer (ICCPO) Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, the Islamabad Capital Police has intensified crackdown against the criminal elements in order to eliminate the crime from the city.
Following these directions the Aabpara police team arrested an accused namely Muhammad Amin and recovered 450 gram heroin from his possession. The Karachi Company police team arrested an accused Muhammad Javed and recovered 340 gram hashish from his possession. The Golra police team arrested two accused namely Muhammad Javed Ullah and Habib Ullah and recovered 380 gram hashish from their possession, while police team arrested an accused namely Usman Masken involved in illegally refilling gas cylinders.
Likewise, the Tarnol police team arrested an accused namely Muhammad Tanveer and recovered 1050 gram heroin from his possession. The Humak police team arrested three accused namely Ibrahim, Abid Hussain and Ismail Khan and recovered two 30 pistols and 513 gram heroin from their possession.
Similarly, the Nilore police team arrested an accused namely Muhammad Rizwan and recovered 560 gram heroin from his possession. The Shahzad Town police team arrested five accused namely Syed Hussain Shah, Usman, Zain Ul Abdin and Faizan Naseer and recovered alcohol and four 30 bore pistols from their possession.
Cases have been registered against the nabbed accused and further investigation is underway. ICCPO Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan directed the police officials to further intensify the crackdown against the criminal elements. “Safety and security of the citizens is our foremost priority and no laxity will be tolerated in this regard”, he maintained.
