ISLAMABAD : Accountability Court (AC) while rejecting acquittal pleas of two persons accused in pink residency reference of fake bank accounts case has indicted 17 accused persons including Abdul Ghani Majeed.
AC led by judge Azam Khan took up the case for hearing Thursday.
National Accountability Bureau (NAB) prosecutor Irfan Bhola appeared in the court.
The court announced the order of rejection of acquittal pleas in respect of two co-accused Ali Gul and Qurban Ali in the reference.
The court marked the attendance of the accused during the hearing of the case. Sohail Memon and Mehtab Ali marked the attendance through video link.
The court indicted 17 accused including Abdul Ghani Majeed, prime accused , Abdul Jabbar, Muhammad Shabbir, Syed Muhammad Ali Shah, Mumtaz Ali, Muhammad Ali Kalot and Ali Gul.
The accused persons pleaded not guilty..
The court while summoning evidences adjourned the hearing of the case till October 16.
