17 outlaws arrested; drugs and weapons with ammunition recovered

Islamabad capital police apprehended 17 outlaws from different areas of the city and recovered drugs and weapons with ammunition from their possession, a police public relations officer said.
He said that, following the special directions of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, the Islamabad capital police has intensified crackdown against the criminal elements in order to eliminate the crime from the city.
Following these directives, the Karachi Company police team arrested an accused namely Akash and recovered 20 liters liquor from his possession. Likewise, the Tarnol police team arrested two accused namely Saddam Hussain and Syedan and recovered two 30 bore pistols with ammunition from their possession.
Similarly, the Sangjani police team arrested an accused namely Shahmeer and recovered one 30 bore pistol from his possession. The Sumbal police team arrested an accused namely Muhammad Rizwan and Sohail and recovered two 30 bore pistols from their possession.
Moreover, the Nilore police team arrested an accused namely Waqas and recovered one 12 bore gun from his possession. The Sihala police team arrested an accused namely Mazhar and recovered 25 gram Ice from his possession. The Noon police team arrested six accused namely Luqman, Mir Khan, Farman Ullah, Muhammad Naeem, Abdul Ghafar and Kashif Mehmood involved in illegal gas filling.
Furthermore, the Lohi Bher police team arrested an accused namely Asad Umer and recovered 1513 gram heroin from his possession. The Sabzi Mandi police team arrested an accused namely Nabi Gul and recovered 110 gram heroin from his possession. The Humak police team arrested an accused namely Ali Naseem and recovered one 223 bore rifle from his possession. Cases have been registered against the nabbed accused and further investigation is underway.
CPO/DIG Operations Islamabad Syed Shehzad Nadeem Bukhari directed all senior officials for effective crackdown against the accused involved in drug peddling and possessing illegal weapons and said that the safety of the lives and property of the citizens is our prime responsibility. The performance of police officials in this regard would be reviewed on a continuous basis, he maintained.
