RAWALPINDI: Judge Nasir Javed Rana of Accountability Court (AC) Islamabad has adjourned the hearing of 190 million pounds case against PTI founder and his wife Bushra Bibi till today (Saturday). The court while rejecting plea of the counsels from the accused for adjourning the hearing till one week ordered the counsels for the accused to complete cross questioning in respect of last witness of reference today. The two accused persons their lawyers and lawyers of NAB were present in the court. The lawyers of the accused persons were to cross examine Umar Nadim, investigating officer of the case and last witness of NAB but the lawyers requested for adjourning the hearing till one week. Therefore, the last witness of reference could not be cross questioned. The counsels for the accused requested the court to issue written decision regarding rejection of acquittal plea of PTI founder. The counsels also requested the court to accept plea for presenting as evidence the column by senior journalist Ansar Abbasi which was published in 2022. The court accepted the pleas. ONLINE
