The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Food Safety Authority in an operation near Bacha Khan Chowk area of Peshawar recovered more than 2000 dead chickens from a shop.
The dead chickens were being slaughtered and were being prepared for supply in the market. The operation was carried out on the instructions of Director Operations Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Food Safety and Halal Food Authority Altaf Hussain, during which a large number of dead chickens were recovered. After slaughtering the dead chickens, they were being prepared for supply in the market. The suspects were caught red-handed while cleaning the dead chickens in the raid. According to the Food Safety Authority, strict legal action will be taken against the owners who fled the scene during the raid.
Similarly, operations against adulteration mafia continued in other districts of the province, various ice cream factories in Khyber district were inspected on public complaint, and sanitation situation and water quality were checked.
