22 outlaws including five professional beggars held; drugs and weapons recovered

Islamabad Capital Police apprehended 22 outlaws including five professional beggars from different areas of the city during the last 24 hours and recovered liquor, drugs and weapons with ammunition from their possession, a public relations officer said.
He said that, following the special directions of Islamabad Capital City Police Officer (ICCPO) Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, the Islamabad Capital Police has intensified crackdown against the criminal elements in order to eliminate the crime from the city.
Following these directions, the Aabpara police team arrested two accused namely Abdul Ul Rehaman and recovered 1070 gram hashish from their possession.
Secretariat police team arrested an accused namely Dani Ahil and recovered six wine bottles from his possession. Kohsar police arrested an accused namely Mehmood Masih and recovered one 12 bore gun from his possession.
Likewise, the Karachi company police team arrested two accused namely Farooq and Sulman and recovered one 30 bore pistol and one dagger from their possession. Sumbal police arrested an accused namely Waseem Khan and recovered one 30 bore pistol from his possession.
Sangjani police arrested two accused namely Muhammad Amjad and Muhammad Rizwan and recovered 52 wine bottles from their possession.
Khanna police arrested two accused namely Adil Zameer and Abu Bakar and recovered two 30 bore pistols from their possession. The Sihala police team arrested two accused namely Abdullah and Asif Ullah and recovered 250 gram heroin and 150 gram hashish from their possession.
Similarly, the Humak police team arrested two accused namely Asif Khan and Sajan Masih and recovered one Kalashnikov and 165 gram heroin from their possession. Bhara Kahu police arrested an accused namely Shahzad Ali and recovered 1125 gram hashish from his possession.Bani Gala police arrested an accused namely Fakhar Abbas and recovered one 30 bore pistol from his possession.
Cases have been registered against the nabbed accused and further investigation is underway. During the ongoing crackdown against professional beggars, the Islamabad Capital Police arrested five professional baggers and registered cases against them under the beggar act.
ICCPO Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan directed the police officials to further intensify the crackdown against the criminal elements. “Safety and security of the citizens is our foremost priority and no laxity will be tolerated in this regard†, he maintained.
