Drafting of Premier League on Khatri organized by Muslim Khatri community was completed last night at Noorani Eid Gah 11 G New Karachi in a spectacular and colorful ceremony. Players will also appear in action. Khatri Premier League Season 1 will start on February 28 with the opening match of SJAS Media XI and Showbiz XI while the league matches of the event will be played from March 1 to March 26, 2022 at the floodlights of Asghar Ali Shah Stadium. Pakistan’s international players will be seen in action.
Former captain of Pakistan cricket team Sarfraz Ahmed was the Chief guest on the occasion of drafting. The former captain participated in the event with 6 franchises Soneja Soldier Honors Arshad Muneem, Captain Ilyas Muneem, Manager Yaseen Muneem.
Honors of Mando Markhor Abdul Wahid, Captain Asif Ali Jee, Manager Abdul Rasheed, Honor Naeem Thattawi of Dawar Gladiator, Captain Faisal Khatri, Manager Arshad Hakeem Jee, Honors of Bachhra Warriors Waqar Dawana, Captain Hameed ZW, Manager Kamran Sabir, Honors of Dhara Dabang Hanif Sagar, Captain Shahid Sagar Manager Abdullah Ashrafi, Honor Imran Choudi of Bheda Tigers, Captain Muzammil Manager Amir Ali, Tournament Secretary Sadiq Khatri, Officers Abdul Wahid, Shahid Tao along with the team captains presented the official kits and opened the draft.
Former captain Sarfraz Ahmed in his speech said thatI would like to give credit to the Muslim Khatri community and management for organizing the Khatri Premier Season 1 and decorating the wonderful drafting ceremony.
He paid a great tribute to the franchise honors of the event for taking the teams. I hope that all of you honors will fully support your respective teams and all the players will play a good game.
The youth of Khatri are very fond of cricket but they do not get opportunities. Hopefully, the youth of Khatri community will take full advantage of this opportunity. Tournament Secretary Sadiq Khatri thanked the special guest Sarfraz Ahmed for coming and for the cooperation of the franchise honors and sponsors and said that the top players are participating in this league and it is hoped that this league will be a thorny match for the youth.
Nisar and Ismail MP of Muslim Khatri Association, Abdul Rahim of Muslim Khatri Association besides former cricketer and coach Zafar Ahmed, former president of Muslim Khatri Association Liaqat Kheri, Hanif Zirwala and other guests participated in the event. The final squads for the franchise will be announced later.
