2410 fined for traffic rules violation during five months

City Traffic Police has issued fine tickets to some and 2410 and took stern action against 5500 motorcycle owners for violating no-parking zones during the last five months.
The traffic police in the provincial capital has accelerated crackdown against encroachment mafia and those who violates no-parking rules in Peshawar.
During the last five months, the traffic police on the direction of Chief Traffic Officer Abbas Majeed Marwat issued tickets to 2410 motorcyclists and took action and fined around 5500 persons for establishing encroachments.
Similarly, action has been taken against 2410 motorcycle owners for parking motorcycles in front of Bilour Plaza, Khushal Bazaar, Namak Mandi and cantonment area.
Abbas Majeed Khan Marwat said that the city traffic police Peshawar, fulfilling the legal requirements, first issues notices to the encroachment mafia while after that the perpetrators of the operation are arrested.
He said that the encroaching mafia should not exceed its limits keeping in view the beauty of the city and should avoid creating any kind of trouble for the citizens.
Mr Abbas said that encroachments affect the beauty of the city and no one would be allowed to violate the traffic parking zone rules.
Traffic chief said that strict legal action would be taken against the perpetrators of trespassing and no leniency would be shown to anyone.
He directed the traffic authorities to take stern action against the violators of traffic rules in accordance with the law.
