PESHAWAR
District administration Peshawar has arrested at least 25 people for resisting an anti-encroachment operation in Board Bazaar on Tuesday.
A grand joint anti-encroachment operation was carried under the auspices of district administration and Capital Metropolitan Government under the supervision of Director Waste and Additional Assistant Commissioner (AAC), University Town, Syeda Zainab Naqvi. Heavy machinery was used for demolition of encroachments.
Police personnel were also deployed to avert any untoward incident on the occasion. The officers of district administration also confiscated goods displayed outside shops while 25 people were arrested for resisting the operation and making interference in the official work. APP
