Adviser to the Chief Minister on Agriculture Mian Muhammad Umar on Monday distributed appointment letters to 43 newly recruited officers of the Agriculture Department, saying the province’s agriculture sector was being strengthened on the principles of merit, honesty and public service.
Speaking at a ceremony held for the distribution of appointment letters among officers recruited through the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Public Service Commission, Umar said the induction of competent professionals would enhance the department’s performance and improve services for farmers.
The ceremony was attended by Secretary Agriculture Dr Muhammad Bakhtiar Khan, Additional Secretary Agriculture Dil Nawaz Khan, Director General On-Farm Water Management Hayat Khan, Director General Crop Reporting Altaf Shah and other senior officials.
The newly appointed officers include 25 Assistant Directors and Water Management Officers for the On-Farm Water Management Wing and 18 Statistical Officers for the Crop Reporting Wing.
Congratulating the recruits, Umar urged them to perform their duties with honesty, dedication and professionalism while giving top priority to serving the farming community.
He said young and talented officers had a key role in modernising the agriculture sector and expressed confidence that the new appointees would contribute to improving departmental performance and ensuring better facilities for farmers.
