2nd Haji Malik Umar Khattab Khalil Memorial Junior Tennis Championship will be held from January 5 to 10 at Peshawar Sports Complex. Secretary KP Tennis association Umar Ayaz Khalil said a prize money of 100,000 rupees has been allocated for the winners.
The championship is sponsored by international tennis player Kashan Umar Khalil (Canada), along with the senior vice president of the association, Prof. Dr. Farhat Abbas, opening ceremony will be on January 5. Arslan Khan Nazim, ANP candidate for PK 81, and Syed Aqil Shah, candidate for National Assembly, will be the special guests along with DG Sports Abdul Nasir, President Tennis Association. DIG Mohammad Saleem Marwat, Chairman Association Professor Dr. Mohammad Tahir and other officials will also be present.
More than two hundred top players to play in boys singles and doubles, U-10 to U-18 categories. Umar said that Kulsoom Saifullah Khan Tournament will be played from 11th to 17th December, Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Tennis Tournament from 18th to 24th December, Serena Tennis Tournament from 25th to 31st December and Federal Cup from 1st to 5th January.
